Found in the African Savannah, the Baobab tree is among the oldest in the world.  Its fruit has been a source of food for the native population for centuries, and is locally referred to as the “tree of life”.  A company called Kaibae sources baobab ethically and sustainably from northern Ghana, and they have a strong social mission that improves the lives of many locals.  The powdered Baobab we use is pure dried fruit (nothing added), and boasts a large concentration of many micronutrients that make it a nice multivitamin type supplement to bowls or smoothies.  It also has a pleasant tangy flavor, and pairs well with most anything.
