Pitaya (Dragon Fruit)

Pitaya was first discovered in Central America centuries ago and has since traveled to all corners of the globe. Early missionaries brought Pitaya to Asia where it has since been renamed and is more commonly known as Dragon Fruit.

Pitaya is becoming widely acclaimed as a powerful low sugar fruit source of antioxidants and a slew of vitamins and minerals.  Like Acai, its natural color is a visual testament to it potent nutrition, except in this case it is a stunningly vibrant pink.  Pitaya also makes for an excellent star ingredient in a Backyard Bowl, and we dare you to eat a bowl this beautiful and not feel like a million bucks afterwards!
